Transatlantic tarts from Bakehouse

Pecan pie and apple crumble tarts

Two types of tarts inspired by favourites from both sides of the Atlantic have joined the line of bake-off breads and pastries from Bakehouse. Each single-portion classic tart is claimed to be made from authentic recipes in a home-made style and both use a sweet, crisp pâte sucré pastry case. The 80g apple crumble tart has a diced apple and cinnamon filling and is supplied in cases of 36. The 70g pecan pies, sold in packs of 48, combine thick toffee syrup with pecan nut pieces. Both varieties will bake off in 15 minutes.
