Twistea is Tetley's bid to overcome consumer resistance to tea-on-the-go, which it believes is driven by the hassle of disposing of soggy tea bags and achieving the desired strength of brew. Tetley's answer is to hide the tea bag in a cup-within-a-cup format. Customers simply twist the outer rim backwards and forwards to brew the tea after boiling water has been added and then lock the rim prior to drinking. The minimal service time makes Twistea ideal for café take-aways, stadium catering, and other grab 'n' go outlets and a fun solution to tea drinkers' traditional pickiness about the strength of their brew. The tea is manufactured along the lines laid down by the Ethical Tea Partnership.
