Mitie Catering Services is to launch the second phase of an employee wellbeing service for its clients next month.

The scheme, dubbed City Living Active, will be piloted at two of the company's 28 London clients from April and rolled out to all by the end of the year.

The service builds upon Mitie's existing City Living concept, which includes a range of staff restaurant foods selected and advertised for their therapeutic qualities, such as combating stress or aiding detox.

The latest scheme aims to transform the City Living concept into a complete employee health programme, available at three price points from about £40 to nearly £400. All options include corporate gym membership rates with Fitness First, and services range from online menu planning, downloadable MP3 workouts, personal training sessions and one-to-one nutrition advice.

Mitie London managing director Anthony Bennett hopes the firm's clients will pay and offer the service as a staff benefit.
