The Hunters’ Inn in Parracombe, Devon, has been bought by local businessman David Orton and his wife Debra.
The chalet-style inn, which dates back to 1896, occupies three acres of mature gardens in Exmoor’s Heddan Valley, where it borders on National Trust land.
The property has eight bedrooms, a private lounge for residents, and a dining area (the Dickens Room) serving breakfast, lunch and a la carte dinners. Snacks are also served in the bar.
The Plymouth office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off an asking price of £895,000 on behalf of Stuart and Marian Crocker.
