The completion deadline for entrants for this year’s Young Chef Young Waiter competition has been extended until 30 June.

Now in its 24th year, the competition - which is open for chefs and waiters aged 25 and under - is an award for both front and back of house.

It is organised by the Restaurant Association in partnership with American Express, the Savoy Educational Trust and Sodexo, as well as various sponsors and rewards the best young chef and young waiter in the hospitality industry.

Judges will include Bruce Poole, chef proprietor of the Michelin-starred Chez Bruce, as the chair of the chef judges and Stephen Mannock of Darlington College as the chair of the waiter judges.

To apply, visit the British Hospitality Association website  or email Tricia Ninian.
