Nespresso coffee

Thursday 20 October 2005 00:00

Each year for a limited period Nespresso offers two rare coffees selected for their outstanding character and aroma profile. The autumn 2005 special edition coffee is from the island of Java in Indonesia. Senang is a blend created from a combination of old Java Arabica coffees from four different plantations and one robusta variety and is characterised by a smooth, dark velvety crema with distinct notes of cocoa along with subtle hints of cereal.

Each of the coffees was shade-grown in volcanic soil and picked by hand, washed, naturally fermented and dried in the sun. Dry-roasting separately, a process known as split roasting, ensures that each bean develops to its highest flavour potential and preserves the distinct character and aroma of each bean within the blend.
