Spanish restaurant Ibérica Food & Culture has announced that it will its open its second London outpost in Canary Wharf on 21 November.

The West End restaurant, which specialises in authentic Spanish tapas, will open the new site at Cabot Square, marking the latest high profile restaurant opening in the area, which is also home to Jamie's Italian, Roka, Wahaca and Boisdale.

Overseen by executive chef Nacho Manzano of the two-Michelin-starred Casa Marcial in Asturias, Spain, the menu at Ibérica's Canary Wharf restaurant will offer a range of traditional and contemporary tapas.

Overseen by head chef Cesar Garcia, dishes will include an Ibérica burger with Secreto pork loin and piparras peppers, or fried chorizo lollipops with pear alioli, and fried monkfish "pixin" in olive oil with lemon. A takeaway service will also be available.

Interiors at the new restaurant will be developed by Barcelona design consultancy Contemporain Studio and resemble a modern converted warehouse. Design features will include high ceilings, exposed brick walls and an open kitchen as well as leather seating and painted Spanish floor tiles.

The restaurant will also include two private dining rooms, seating 30 and 50 diners respectively, while an outdoor terrace with 120 seats will launch next spring.
