Report calls for Ofsted to assess school meals
School meals should be assessed in Ofsted inspections as part of a campaign to tackle child obesity, according to a new report. A Leaner Fitter Future, a dossier compiled by the Medical Research Council, gathered opinions from 28 organisations across various sectors. It said the provision of school meals and vending should be considered when grading a school, along with parts of the curriculum such as PE lessons and nutritional education.
Café Lazeez tackles catering at Twickenham
Café Lazeez, the Indian restaurant and events group, has announced a deal to supply Asian cuisine at Twickenham, the home of the England rugby team, which is gearing up for the World Cup final against Australia on Saturday.
The group will be the Asian cuisine partner, catering for up to 400 people, at events and conferences run by Twickenham Experience, the official hospitality provider at the stadium.
