Hilton has opened its first Doubletree hotel in central London and unveiled plans to open a property under the brand in Chester early next year.
The Regent Street opening marks the hotel group’s 200th Doubletree, which it describes as “upscale and full-service”, and its third in the UK, following Cambridge and Aberdeen.
The Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London – Regent Street is operated by a subsidiary of Mastcraft Limited under a franchise agreement with Hilton.
Hilton also announced that it has entered into a franchise license agreement with Sanguine Hospitality, which will see the 110-room Hoole Hall Country Club and Hotel in Chester become a Doubletree by Hilton in early 2009.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development for Hilton Hotels for UK, Europe and Africa, said: “This exciting hotel opening in London and our latest development deal in Chester truly demonstrate the momentum behind the Doubletree by Hilton brand
“All further underscores our strategy to take Doubletree by Hilton to more than 20 hotels in the UK alone during the next five years.”
