CE-marked and bio-coated cups from Huhtamaki

Thursday 20 December 2007 07:01
Bio-coated Bioware cupThe BioWare line of eco-friendly, compostable pint and half-pint tumblers  from Huhtamaki has been certified to carry the CE mark for alcoholic  drinks. This means that pubs can use them as a measuring device with  free-flow pumps.

The crack-resistant PLA tumblers offer the same clarity and rigidity as  APET alternatives, will compost within 60 days, and are printed in as many  as five colours. The CE mark is incorporated in the design.

Huhtamaki has also added a new line of bio-coated paper cups for hot and  cold drinks to its single-use BioWare range. In a variety of sizes with  customisable print options, the cartonboard cups carry the Forestry  Stewardship Council's chain of custody certificate.
