New duo from the Handmade Cake Company

Blueberry and lemon drizzle cakeThe Handmade Cake Company has added two new cakes, bringing its total number of cake varieties to 34.

The Raspberry and Pinenut Slice includes crushed raspberries between two oat and pinenut crumbled layers, finished with Muscovado sugar and cut into 12 rectangles.

The Blueberry and Lemon Drizzle 10in cake is a Madeira sponge with blueberries dipped in lemon syrup, finished with caster sugar and cut into 14 slices.

The Apple Shortcake recipe has been improved and now features a Demerara sugar and egg glaze to give it a richer brown-coloured sheen and is cut into 14 triangles.

All Handmade Cake Company products are made using natural ingredients and are baked in small batches. They are supplied frozen with a minimum of three days' shelf life after thawing.
