Single-portion, microwaveable soupThe Yorkshire Provender company has introduced microwaveable single-portion soups. To prepare, caterers need only remove the inner plastic pot containing the soup and microwave for three minutes.

Two recipes are available initially: Pea and Spinach with Fresh Herbs (parsley and coriander), and Carrot and Celeriac with Caraway and Cumin.

The products contain no added thickeners, stabilisers, flavourings, salt or preservatives. They each contain 285ml of soup pots and are supplied in cases of six.
