Restaurants at work coup

Surrey-based contractor Restaurants at Work has clinched three new deals - including its first in London - with a combined turnover of £300,000 a year.

The first two gains came at Starpoint Electronics and precious metals firm Engelhard-Clal. Both contracts are based in Surrey and started at the beginning of this month.

The third contract, at the London offices of German manufacturer Oscar Friedheim opens in September.

Restaurants at Work was formed in June 1995 by David Jenkinson, former managing director of The Catering Guild, which was taken over by Sutcliffe in February 1995. Its new business will take annual turnover to nearly £1m.

"We set out to achieve about six contracts in our first year," said Mr Jenkinson. "We have now got nine clients."
