Istanbul hotel siege ends peacefully
An armed siege at the Swissôtel in Istanbul, Turkey, has finished peacefully after pro-Chechen gunmen gave themselves up to police. The company said that staff who had been among the hostages were in good health. Considering the circumstances, the staff had found their treatment by the gunmen to be "decent", it added. The group of armed terrorists stormed the hotel in the early hours of today. No hotel guests or staff were injured. At the time of the attack, the hotel had about 600 guests.
