Selling Cardiff to Europeans
The Wales Tourist Board, the Cardiff Initiative and Capital Region Tourism have appointed ALYCEA LAMB-HORTH joint co-ordinator, overseeing relations with low-cost airline Bmibaby.
The airline is now offering direct flights to Cardiff City airport from various European destinations such as Milan, Paris and Munich, and the three marketing organisations are keen to pool their resources and sell Cardiff city and the redeveloped bay area to a new wave of European tourists and business users.
Lamb-Horth's new role will be to work with overseas travel trade and media to stimulate interest in Wales, and to work with Bmibaby on marketing Wales as a destination and to keep the airline's ground-service agents up to date about the region.
She was previously marketing co-ordinator at the Cardiff Initiative.
