Edelmann leaves Savoy for Sodexho
Anton Edelmann, maitre chef des cuisines at London's Savoy hotel, is leaving to join contract caterer Sodexho.
He will become principal chef for Directors Table, Sodexho's fine-dining division for business and industry clients in London, and will also oversee Sodexho's public restaurant in London's Dolphin Square, formerly headed by chef Gary Rhodes.
Edelmann's main role with Directors Table will be to help develop the skills of its chefs through practical training. He will also be involved in creating new menus and a "signature menu" range for clients.
Tim Cooper, managing director of Director's Table, said: "Anton is an inspirational chef of international repute…We are proud that he is joining Director's Table."
Edelmann has been at the Savoy for 20 years. He said: "This new role offers me the chance to bring cuisine equivalent to that found in the best restaurants to major companies in the City."
