Strada makes bigger strides

Quality pizza and pasta chain Strada is set to expand again with a 17th London restaurant opening in Blackheath and another due to open in the City shortly.

The Blackheath property was formerly Chinese restaurant Regent's Palace, but the lease was sold through property agent Shelley Sandzer for £200,000 at an annual rent of £36,000. The site has 2,400sq ft over two levels.

Strada is part of Signature Restaurants, which also owns the Ivy, Le Caprice and J Sheekey restaurants as well as chains Belgo and Bieradrome.

Currently, all Strada restaurants are in London, but the group is now looking at sites in Reading, Brighton and Cambridge.
