The food and drink manufacturing industry is constantly responding to consumer demand, providing a huge range of products which include low-fat, low-sugar and low-salt varieties, as well as the popular standard versions. All these products can be enjoyed as part of a healthy, balanced diet. Christine Fisk, spokesperson for the Food and Drink Federation Manufacturers have a huge responsibility to present and future generations. Therefore can they ever be doing enough? You buy in bulk, often in unpackaged format, and there's often very little information provided. We should all be providing more information about what's in our products.
