Domino's cuts the fat

(05 July 2004 14:51)
Domino's is offering a pizza made with 30% reduced-fat mozzarella.

Dozens of reduced-fat mozzarellas were tested but until now, each failed the five-point "sensory" evaluation - taste, look, smell, stretch and mouthfeel.

Reduction of fat in cheese makes it tougher and difficult to melt, but Domino's claims customers won't be able to tell the difference with the new product.

A 100g portion of the new cheese contains 0.1g less salt, 44 fewer calories and 6.1g extra protein.
