The hunt is on for the nation's best breakfast in the run-up to Farmhouse Breakfast Week, which takes place from 23-29 January 2005. UK hotels, restaurants, B&Bs and cafés that use regional produce are invited to submit entries for this competition, organised by the Home Grown Cereals Authority.

Four national winners - from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales - will each receive Aga cookware to the value of £150. To enter, establishments must first say in 20-40 words why they serve the best breakfast, and include a menu, a list of suppliers and a photograph. This may be followed by a visit to the establishment by judges.
