Radisson to overhaul Edinburgh hotel

Edinburgh's 238-bedroom Radisson SAS Hotel, on the city's Royal Mile, is to get a £5m facelift.

Owner Rezidor SAS said the overhaul would start next month and is due to be completed by April next year.

The hotel will not be closing during the process, it added.

A further element of the refurbishment will be the creation of a new, as yet unnamed, bar and dining area to replace its existing Dicksons bar.

General manager David Welch said: "We believe that our investment over the next six months to transform the Radisson SAS Hotel, Edinburgh will significantly reposition us above many of our closest competitors."
