On the move

The new leader at the Linthwaite House hotel in Cumbria is general manager Tom Wildblood, who has moved from Hazlewood Castle hotel near Leeds, where he was operations manager.

All change at the Wynnstay hotel in Machynlleth, Powys. Head chef Gareth Johns is promoted to executive chef, sous chef Jim Hamilton is now head chef, and Justin Robinson has rejoined the hotel as sous chef after a spell in leisure management.

Stehan Bucher has joined City Inn Westminster hotel as business development manager from the Sydney Marriott hotel, where he was sales executive.

Raj Pandya has become food services manager at the 76-bedroom Belmont House hotel in Leicester. He was unit manager at the Birmingham Fish! restaurant.

Choice Hotels Europe has appointed Paul Badawi revenue development director. He has left Moat House Hotels, where he spent two years as regional revenue manager.

Chaowalit Thinsaku has joined Blue Elephant restaurant on Fulham Broadway, London, as assistant general manager. He was previously catering manager in the food and beverage department of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok hotel.

London's La Porte des Indes restaurant has welcomed Chetan Bhanot as restaurant manager. Bhanot has moved to the country from India, where he was restaurant manager at the InterContinental Grand hotel in New Delhi, and most recently at the JW Marriott hotel in Mumbai.

The Llangoed Hall hotel near Brecon, Powys, has selected Calum Milne as its new general manager. He was senior operations manager at Eastbourne's Grand hotel, East Sussex.

Nick Munier has been promoted to food and beverage manager at Dublin hotel the Clarence. He was previously tearoom restaurant manager there. Keith Hallissey has been promoted to tearoom restaurant manager from assistant manager.

Paul Morgan has travelled to Bath to become general manager of the Lansdown Grove hotel. He has moved to the Marston Hotels-owned property from East Cliff Court hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset, where he was general manager.

BOXTEXT: THOMAS DAY is the new general manager of the Edinburgh Conference Centre company, which will take over responsibility for managing and operating the James Watt Centre and associated conference facilities at Heriot-Watt University in the Scottish capital from January. He was previously commercial manager of Cardiff Catering.
