On the move(07 December 2004 16:08)Giel Schuffelers, assistant events manager at the Grosvenor House hotel on London's Park Lane, has won promotion to events manager. During his time at the hotel he has helped organise Caterer's 2003 and 2004 Cateys dinners.
Craig McKay has become restaurant manager at Edinburgh restaurant Oloroso. He was head waiter at the Gleneagles hotel, Auchterarder, Perthshire. Scott Ford has been promoted to head of national accounts at Moat House Hotels. He was senior national account manager with the company. Watford Moat House hotel has welcomed Corah Caples through its doors as general manager. She was deputy general manager of Jersey hotel L'Horizon. Sue Williams, previously training manager at Wizard Inns, has joined contract caterer Holroyd Howe as training manager, a newly created position within the company's senior team. The Old Bell hotel in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, has recruited Tom Rains and Saverio Buchicchio as executive chef and restaurant manager respectively. Rains was senior sous chef at Anton Mosimann's London restaurant, while Buchicchio was restaurant manager at the 947AD restaurant in the Royalist hotel at Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. Andy Anderson has become strategic development director for ESS, the UK defence arm of ESS Support Services Worldwide, which is part of Compass Group. He has joined from the Army, where he was responsible for facilities management across the Army's estate in the North of England and Scotland. The Cotswold House hotel in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, has appointed Jamie Forman as head chef of its Hick's brasserie and recently refurbished Juliana's restaurant. Forman was senior sous chef at the property. The Library bar at London's Lanesborough hotel has a new bar manager, Jorge Calisto. He was head barman at the now-closed Monte's restaurant, London. Russell Robertson, Young Chef of the Year in the Scottish Chef Awards 2004, has become chef-manager at the Linen Room restaurant in Dumfries. He was sous chef at Michelin-starred restaurant the Plumed Horse in nearby Crossmichael, Kirkcudbrightshire.he b Move of the week David Bailey is now managing director for Sodexho's business and industry division with responsibility for corporate accounts in the southern region. He was managing director of Compass Group's Restaurant Associates.
