Riverbank Park Plaza
This will be London's largest new-build hotel in three decades. The £120m, 11-storey development will incorporate a four-star hotel and five-star serviced apartments.

Brown's, London
Closed for a £16m renovation, this grande dame of a hotel is due to reopen partly in May and fully in June after Olga Polizzi has worked her magic on its interiors.

Homage
Veteran restaurateur and consultant Roy Ackerman has teamed up with Hilton to launch a new restaurant - the Grand Salon, pâtisserie and bar at the Hilton Waldorf. Homage will be a "tribute" to the grand cafés of Europe.

Isis
The team behind behind Lab and the Townhouse are launching a new private members' club with cocktails by Douglas Ankrah, but membership is by invitation only. Moroccan-inspired interiors will complement a Middle Eastern mezze-style menu.

Pengelleys
Ian Pengelley has a deal with the Carlton Towers hotel to take over Montes, including a separate bar and dance floor upstairs. Pengelley was previously the launch head chef at E&O, and before that worked at Cicada, the Birdcage and the Hempel.

The Square and the Glasshouse creator Nigel Platts-Martin is due to launch his fifth operation in the former Dakota site in Notting Hill, London, in early spring. The project is still shrouded in secrecy, but we know that Brett Graham (formerly at the Square) will be heading the kitchen, and Helena Hell (formerly at the Connaught) will be front-of-house manager.

Jason Atherton at Maze
Gordon Ramsay is behind the new restaurant and bar at the London Marriott hotel on Grosvenor Square. Head chef Jason Atherton will offer a grazing menu focusing on French cuisine with Asian influences. Grand Central Station designer David Rockwell is responsible for the design.

Nobu
Nobu Matsuhisa, entrepreneur BS Ong and Hollywood star Robert de Niro will open a new London restaurant, late-licence bar and club in May or June. It will offer a more informal dining environment than London's original Nobu at the Metropolitan hotel.

January will see the launch of 43 South Molton Street, a new style venue in London equipped with restaurant-café, basement bar and members' club. In March, Nuevo Latino food arrives in Hoxton, London, in the form of Cube n Star.
Also in the capital in March, the modern Portuguese restaurant Tugga opens on Chelsea's King's Road. Miguel Castro e Silva, one of Portugal's top chefs, is creating an exciting and modern menu.
