In my job as receptionist and shift leader, I have enjoyed training front-office staff. What should I do next? You don't say what kind of business you're working in but, if you have a human resources (HR) department, I suggest that you start there. Larger companies employ people within HR with a specific remit for staff training and development. You could also try contacting the HR departments of some of the larger employers to find out what's available. Article continues below
If you want to move towards a teaching and training role at a college or with a training provider, then you will need to gain some relevant qualifications. To find out what qualifications are available for particular roles, contact your local Learning and Skills Council (England), Scottish Enterprise (Scotland) or ELWa (Wales).
