Malcolm Rann is the new general manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Edinburgh. He was previously director of operations for InterContinental Hotels in Oman and manager of the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental, Muscat.

Fairmont Hotels has appointed Julian Haddon sales and marketing manager of the Savoy hotel in London. He was previously director of sales at hospitality telecommunications firm Teledex LLC.

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has promoted Dean Gregory to vice president worldwide distribution from his previous position of distribution development director.

Chris Ball has been appointed revenue manager at De Vere Village hotel and leisure club, Bury. He was previously room sales manager at the Jarvis Piccadilly hotel, Manchester.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has appointed Naomi Northern director of sales at the Copthorne Hotel in Birmingham. She was previously sales manager at the De Vere Village Hotel in Dudley, West Midlands.

João Pires has been appointed wine director at the Vineyard at Stockcross, Newbury, Berkshire. He was previously fine dining manager and head sommelier at the Ritz Four Seasons hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.

Roberta Wheeler has been appointed Aramark's human resources director. She was previously group HR director at Land Securities.

Avenance has appointed Henrik Mansson human resources director. He was previously European HR director for Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts.
