The 94-bedroom property is Gulzar's second site in the town, together with the Albany Lions hotel, and will undergo an extensive interior refurbishment. The hotel has a live-in management suite with two bedrooms and a lounge. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry.

Harringtons Hotel handed overThe two-star Harringtons Hotel, in Bath city centre, has been sold for about £1.2m. The property, which will be close to the future Thermae Bath Spa, has 13 bedrooms, a 25-seat restaurant and a bar with seating for 12. The new owners, Peter O'Sullivan and Melissa Pritchard, previously ran the family business in Ireland, the Riversdale Hotel in Co Kerry. The agent was Christie & Co.

Headway hotel moves forwardThe three-star, 54-bedroom Headway hotel in the centre of Morecambe, Lancashire, has changed hands for £950,000. It was sold by the religious charity Knights of St Columba to Frank and Stephen Norfolk, the family that previously ran the property and who own the nearby Broadway hotel. The Headway has a 100-seat restaurant and a function suite with a capacity of 125. The agent was Christie & Co.

New chapter for Chaucer HotelThe two-star, 35-bedroom Chaucer hotel in Keswick, Cumbria, has been sold for £1.2m. The hotel, which has a 50-seat restaurant, was bought by John Lancaster of Leeds-based firm RU Developments Limited for conversion into 14 self-contained flats. Building work is due to begin in the new year. The agent was Christie & Co.Strada buys twentieth siteRestaurant chain Strada has added a new property to its portfolio. It bought the lease for 156 Chiswick High Road, in west London, for £300,000 from restaurant group Black & Blue, who had purchased the property a year earlier but never opened it. The 85-seat restaurant also has space for three or four pavement tables. The agent was Shelley Sandzer.

Zebrano snapped upDon Cameron and Cevat Riza are the new owners of the Zebrano on Ganton Street, central London. The lease on the property, which is just off Carnaby Street, was bought for £150,000. The 5,000sq ft basement bar has a capacity of 150 (50 seated) and the 900sq ft upper floor can seat 50. Cameron previously worked as a catering manager for investment bank JPMorgan Chase. The agent was Shelley Sandzer.
