Domino’s sells managed stores

Domino’s Pizza UK & Ireland plans to pump its resources into its franchise business, after selling 13 of its managed stores for £4m.

Domino’s expects to make £850,000 from the sale of the stores to Dough Trading.

The company said it was continuing to explore options for its five remaining owned stores, and would either look for a straight sale or an exit via a joint venture arrangement – in essence a franchise partnership.

Dough Trading the new owner was set up specifically for the deal. The company is run by Marc Halpern.

Domino’s is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary in the UK and Ireland.
