Café Bar's Pelican brief

(14 July 2005 00:00)

Café Bar (UK), part of the Autobar Group, has merged its business with sister company Pelican Rouge to enhance the service and choice it offers to customers.

The company strategy is to offer a complete beverage solution for food service outlets - including equipment, ingredients and support services - and it considers its technical service a great strength, with 38 engineers employed nationally to offer a rapid response to reported machine faults.

Café Bar (UK) develops its own branded products to sit alongside well-known brands such as Gaggia traditional espresso machines and Schaerer bean-to-cup systems. Its portfolio also includes instant systems, filter coffee systems and hospital ward beverage solutions. Pelican Rouge coffee beans, Café Bar own-label and British favourites such as Nescafé, Cadbury's and PG Tips feature among its range of ingredients.

"Our newly expanded range of products and equipment leaves us uniquely placed to offer impartial advice across a wide spectrum of systems," says Café Bar (UK) managing director Steven Murray. "We are now positioned to present the group as a whole, rather than as separate elements. This allows us to become much more customer-focused. Our customers will benefit from wider choice, knowledgeable sales advice and proactive after-sales support."
