Latest NewsErgens buys a third property(15 July 2005 09:53)Turkish restaurant group Ergens is expanding with a third property on Barnet High Street in north-west London. The 2,000sq ft property, formerly a Pizza Hut, will take 75-80 covers when it opens in mid-September. Rent is about £90,000 a year. Property agent Davis Coffer Lyons acted for Pizza Hut while the owners, the Ergen family, represented themselves. The group's first site opened in Beckenham, Kent, in 2002 and was followed by a second property on Battersea Rise, south London, in March this year. Director Durmus Ergen said the group would now focus on consolidating the business with plans to open further sites next year. Ergens is a family-owned business backed by private investment.
