Eurest wins three-year Scottish Gas contract
Compass Group business and industry division Eurest has won a three-year contract with Scottish Gas to provide catering services at its Edinburgh Waterfront head office. The deal, which will turn over £530,000 a year, started in June and feeds up to 1,800 staff. Twenty Eurest staff work on the contract, which was previously run by Aramark.
BAe signs MITIE catering
MITIE catering has won a three-year deal to provide catering services at British Aerospace (BAe) Systems Naval Ships in Glasgow, Scotland. The deal, which will cater for 3,000 BAe employees across two sites, includes restaurants, deli bars and retail units and will turn over more than £400,000 a year. Fifteen MITIE staff will work on the contract, which was previously run by Sodexho.

Alpha takes off at Nottingham East Midlands airport
Alpha Retail Catering has taken over the contract for the airside ground-floor food court at Nottingham East Midlands airport. The four-year deal will run until the completion of the airport’s new terminal in 2009. Alpha will invest between £100,000 and £200,000 in revamping the existing facilities and expects the deal to turn over about £3m per year. Forty Alpha staff will work on the contract, which was previously run by Compass Group subsidiary SSP.
