Folio buckles Harte and Garter

Folio Hotels has signed its seventh deal this year after winning the management contract of Ye Harte and Garter hotel in Windsor, Berkshire.

The 17th-century, 58-bedroom coaching inn has been purchased for £9m by property investment company Leverguide, which is owned by Gary and Alan Landsberg, David and Elliott Rosenburg and Galliard Homes.

Leverguide, which set up Admiral Taverns in Mrch 2004, purchased the hotel through deal vehicle Jamview from pub operator Spirit Group.

Folio currently manages London's St James's Club for Leverguide and has five former Corus hotels in its growing porfolio, which includes London's Richmond Hill and Richmond Gate.

Folio managing director Martyn Levett said the company wanted to acquire the lease of the property. He said: "The site is right outside Windsor Castle and enjoys great football."

Levett said the company was hoping to sign another hotel deal in the coming weeks. He added: " Business has been moveing speedily recently and we remain focused on growing the company to 20 sites."
