Haworth to expand pub theme

The owners of Michelin-starred Northcote Manor in Lancashire are set to expand their pub and outside catering business to the neighbouring counties.

Plans are to roll out the theme of its Catey-winning pub, the Three Fishes in Mitton, to the neighbouring counties of Yorkshire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Derbyshire within five years.

The group's chef-patron Nigel Haworth said: "It was always our intention to go into the five counties, but obviously the first one had to be successful. Pubs are a great medium and as much fun as Northcote Manor.

"I've always wanted to expand in the midmarket sector. Each pub will remain individual but will use the Three Fishes theme linking the food to the particular county and its local producers."

The company's outside catering arm, Northcote Offsite, has also won a new 300,000 contract for a caf-bar at the Equestrian Centre in Wrightington, near Wigan. It will invest 50,000 in setting it up.
