Crown Society wins five-year Tallow Chandlers hall contract
Special event caterer Crown Society has won a five-year catering and hospitality contract at Tallow Chandlers Hall in London EC4. The contract, which will turn over £400,000 a year, began on 1 August and will cater for about 10,000 guests a year at the candle makers’ guild hall. Between six and seven staff will work on the contract, which was previously run by Payne and Gunter.
Somerset and Avon Fire Service welcomes new caterers
Independent group Catermasters has won a five-year deal to provide catering services for the Somerset and Avon Fire Service at Avonmouth in Bristol and the Welsh Fire Service in Cardiff. The contract, which will turn over £350,000 a year across both sites, will cater for 75-100 delegates a day at Avonmouth and 40-60 delegates a day at Cardiff. Five Catermasters staff will work on the Avonmouth contract and four will work at the Cardiff site. The contract was previously run by a local operator.

Holroyd Howe wins one-year rolling contract at law firm
Independent caterer Holroyd Howe has won a one-year rolling contract to provide catering services at law firm Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The deal, which will turn over £380,000 a year, will see 12 Holroyd Howe staff work on the site. Holroyd Howe is the company’s first caterer.
Baxter and Platts retains Prudential contract
Compass Group executive fine dining division Baxter and Platts has retained its contract with insurance company Prudential for a further seven years. The deal, which will turn over £1.43m a year, will see Baxter and Platts provide catering services at the group’s Belfast, Stirling and Reading offices. Eight Baxter and Platts staff will cater for 500 staff at Belfast, while 25 will feed 2,800 staff at Stirling and 22 will provide catering services to 2,500 Prudential staff at Reading.
