Butlins opens hotel in Bognor

Butlins launched its first hotel on Tuesday (16 August) at its Bognor Regis resort in West Sussex, offering guests an alternative to the traditional 1950s-style chalets.

The £10m Shoreline hotel mirrors the shape of a cruise liner, with most of the 160 rooms having a sea view. It opens to the public from 22 August. There are three grades of room, with the Nelson Staterooms (£99 per night) offering flat-screen TVs and balconies with telescopes. The hotel also has an English bistro restaurant and cocktail bar.

Prices start at £79 per night for a family of four and holidaymakers are able to use the facilities and entertainment at the resort.
