Zensai, London
The name is Japanese for “pretty little things”, and this cocktail bar in Camden is certainly pretty. The bar is made from multicoloured crystals and semiprecious stones set in resin, while a giant mirror ball casts a fairy-like glow, and two waterfalls cascade over the back wall of the dining room and lounge.

This neighbourhood favourite has had a revamp under its new owner. Situated at the pretty end of Wandsworth, it’s homely, with stripped-wood floors and worn leather sofas. There’s a daytime crèche in the private dining room.

Raoul’s prides itself on serving fresh, home-made comfort food with ingredients sourced from all over Europe. This is the third Raoul’s to open, and it will open all day, every day of the week. There are separate menus for brunch, lunch and dinner.

This multifunctional space features a restaurant, bar and club over three floors, holding more than 300 people. The bright and airy ground-floor restaurant features modern British cuisine with an international flavour while the first floor bar is claimed to offer 65 unique cocktails.

Moti Mahal, London
The first London restaurant from Delhi-based group Moti Mahal, it’s said to be headed up by descendants of the people who introduced the tandoor oven to the commercial restaurant industry. The two-floor restaurant also has a ground-floor bar, an intimate dining room and Champagne and whisky bar.
