Cornwall hotel sells after 35 years in the family

A Cornwall hotel has been sold after 35 years of family ownership.

Penmere Manor Hotel, near Falmouth was sold for an asking price of £2.5m.

The 19th century building was turned into a hotel in 1958. The Pope family bought the property in 1969, and have been running the hotel since. It has 37 en suite bedrooms, a 50 cover restaurant and a 20 cover terrace lounge.

The new owners are the Terzeon family from London.

The sale was handled by property agents Christie + Co’s Exeter office.
