RHM Foodservice launches healthy school food award
Primary school caterers could win 2,000 in a new award launched by RHM Foodservice for healthy school food.
The McDougalls Healthiest School Food Award will go to the school caterer that can demonstrate the most successful approach to healthy eating.
A panel of judges will shortlist 20 entries based on answers to a questionnaire before the winner is chosen from a short-list of three.
The primary school that scoops the title will also receive 1,000-worth of McDougalls and RHM Foodservice products.
Two runners-up will receive cash prizes of 750- and 500-worth of RHM products.
The closing date for the award, which is endorsed by the Local Authority Caterers Association, is 14 October. The winner will be announced at the end of January 2006.
The questionnaire is available from 1 September at www.rhmfoodservice.co.uk and www.laca.co.uk.
