Latest NewsEnterprise says no 24-hour drinking(23 September 2005 12:36)Enterprise Inns, the UK’s largest pub company, has ruled out 24-hour drinking in any of its pubs. The tenanted pub company, which owns more than 8,000 pubs, said the transition to new licensing laws in England and Wales this November had been a major task. Enterprise said it had been nurturing licensees through the process, which would see most pubs going for greater flexibility and a few extra hours operationally. It criticised some reports on licensing in the national papers as “misleading”. The company releases its full-year results on 22 November, which it said would be in line with expectations following good trading. Profit per pub is estimated at 8% higher than last year.
