Jarvis and Thistle hotel bosses resign
Hotel bosses at two of the UK's leading private hotel companies, Jarvis hotels and Thistle have announced their resignations today.
Richard Thomason, chief executive of Jarvis hotels is thought to have quit over the suspension of sale plans, which were announced earlier this year when IBI Corporate Advisors were appointed in July.
Thomason conducted a management buyout for the company with executive chairman John Jarvis in 2003 returning it to private ownership. He has kept the 9.5% stake he acquired when the group was taken private.
In an unrelated move, Beverly King, Thistle hotel's chief operating officer has quit his post, although he will remain with the company until a replacement can be found.
It is not known as yet what King's future plans are, although a source at Thistle said the split was "amicable".
