Sodexho wins MBNA and MoD contract
Sodexho has won a five-year contract to provide catering services at the European headquarters of MBNA Europe Bank in Chester, Cheshire. The deal, which will turn over £2.5m per year will see the French group cater for about 4,000 MBNA staff in two shops, three restaurants, a deli bar and a coffee bar. About 70 Sodexho staff will work on the contract, which was previously run by Eurest.

Sodexho has won its first multi-activity contract with the Ministry of Defence. The 10-year deal, which covers 12 barracks in Catterick and one each in Ripon, Topcliffe, and Dishforth, North Yorkshire, will turn over an average of £20m per year. More than 850 Sodexho staff will work across the sites, providing 14 services to more than 7,600 MoD staff that include catering, retail, cleaning and administration. The deal begins on 1 December.

Milburns to provide catering to Imperial War museum north
Milburns, part of Compass Group sport and leisure division All Leisure, has won a five-year contract to provide catering services at the Imperial War museum north. The deal, which will turn over £560,000 per year, will see Milburns manage the museum’s café and events business. Fifteen Milburns staff will work on the contract, which was previously held by Sodexho.
