InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has refocused its management structure to better serve its ambitious expansion, which will see it add 50-60,000 new rooms over the next three years.

IHG will keep its current structure of three regions – the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific under the command of Stevan Porter, Richard Hartman and Patrick Imbardelli respectively.

Porter will also become global leader franchise strategy, with responsibility for the development and deployment of best practice in franchising.

A new position of chief information officer, as yet unfilled, has also been created to strengthen the company’s revenue systems.

Richard Solomons, IHG’s group finance director, will additionally develop IHG's relationship management programme.
