Latest NewsBarracuda snaps up Greene King man(02 November 2005 12:33)Pub company Greene King has lost its operations director Graham Jones to rival, Barracuda Group. Jones, who worked at Greene King’s managed division, will perform the same role at Barracuda, starting in December. He will also join the company’s board. The move comes as existing Barracuda operations director and founding member of the 160-strong group, Kieran Phelan retires. Barracuda’s chief executive Mark McQuater said: “Graham Jones has an outstanding reputation in the industry and we are delighted that he is joining the Barracuda Group.” Jones previously worked at Whitbread, subsequently running a number of units at the Laurel Pub Company – formerly Whitbread’s pub division. He then transferred to Greene King when it bought Laurel’s community pub estate in 2003. Article continues below
