The Bench: London airport hotel performance in October 2005
London's airport hotels increased revenue per available room (revpar) by 3.9% during the month of October.
Revpar grew to £65.18, up from £62.74 during October 2004, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
The growth followed a 6.6% rise in average room rate to £79.36, up from £74.43 in October 2004. This offset a 2.2 percentage point decline in occupancy to 82.1%.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
