Thistle Hotels has announced the appointment of Tim Scoble as its new chief executive.

Scoble, formerly chief executive of Little Chef, replaces Beverly King who will leave the company on 3 January.

King declined to reveal his next move but it is understood he plans to start a new, independent hotel company.

Arun Amarsi, chief executive officer of Thistle’s parent company, BIL International, said: “Tim brings to Thistle Hotels excellence in hotel management and expertise in consumer brands and service delivery.”
