The Bench: North-eastern hotel performance in October 2005

Hotels in the North East of England saw revenue per available room (revpar) fall by 4.3% during the month of October.

Revpar dipped to £49.87, down from £52.13 during October 2004, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Average room rate grew marginally by 0.1% to £65.95, up from £65.89 in October 2004. Occupancy, however, decreased by 3.5 percentage points to 75.6%.
