Training & Development at Accor
The company takes training very seriously and we have our own Corporate University, the Accor Academy in Paris, in which we recently invested £4 million making it a state of the art facility. Every hotel has a PC dedicated to the staff communications and training- PC@accor. Training happens at all levels. For example we have a programme called Progres, where employees can move through bronze, silver, gold and platinum standards resulting in salary increases as they gain new skills and confidence. In partnership with HCTC we support NVQs and have 75 Modern Apprentices, including 12 in our Accor Chefs Academy. Our Graduate Development Programme takes around 12 graduates per year and we offer more than 200 placements. Our Management training is accredited by HCIMA and at a more senior level the Management Development Programme offers a fast track to General Management –now in its 9th year, 25 of the UK's General Managers are in their jobs as a direct result of following this course.
