Zahir and Hanif Somani, founders of Pearl Hotels Holdings, have bought the Best Western Gatwick Worth hotel for an undisclosed sum. The asking price was £8.25m.

The 118-bedroom property is set in six acres of land in Crabbet Park, Crawley, and runs a regular minibus service to the airport.

Facilities include an a la carte restaurant that will seat 30 diners, a bar and lounge, conference facilities for more than 900 people, and an on-site Cannons health club.

Pearl Hotels also owns the Ramada Encore in Swansea (which developer BDL sold to Pearl on the day it opened) and has a new-build hotel in Slough in the pipeline.

Property agent Forum acted for the seller and Pacific Property Company for the buyer.
