London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) dip slightly in the week ending 4 December, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Revpar dropped by 0.8% to £112.77, down from £113.71 during the equivalent week last year.

The decline stemmed from falling occupancy, which decreased by 3.8 percentage points to 85.2%.

Average room rate, however, grew by 3.5% to £132.32, up from £127.80 in the corresponding week of 2004.
