Caterer has joined forces with the organiser of the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show to launch the first awards dedicated to the hospitality industry in the North of England.

The new Northern Hospitality Awards, which take their inspiration from the Cateys, Caterer's national awards, recognise the size, diversity and innovation of the hospitality scene in the North. The region is home to 57,000 hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants, which together represent 42% of all licensed premises in the UK.

Organiser Moorfield Media is seeking entrants from now until early February for the seven awards, which will go to the best hotel, bar, pub, chef, manager and newcomer, as well as a Lifetime Achievement category.
